12V vs. 110/240V Charger for the Guzzle H2O Stream

Both chargers recharge the Stream's battery, so it's ready to filter when you reach the water.

12V DC Charger: Plugs into a 12V socket. Works best in a vehicle or a power station. It's best for overlanding, road trips and remote travel. Takes 2 hours to fully charge.

110/240V AC Charger: Plugs into a standard AC wall outlet and works with both North American (110V) and international (240V) power. It's best for charging at home, at a campground with hookups or anywhere with grid power before you head out.

Scout vs. Guide Prefilter for the Guzzle H2O Stream

Both prefilters connect to the Stream's inlet hose and protect the main filter from sediment and debris in natural water sources. One of them should always be attached when filtering from natural sources.

Scout: Works well with relatively clear water where sediment has settled out. It filters down to 1 micron.

Guide: An optional upgrade for high-sediment water. Its 0.35-micron pleated filter catches the fine sediment common in rivers and murky, high-turbidity sources. It does the best job of protecting the carbon filter from clogging with fine sediment.

6' vs. 30' Outlet Hose for the Guzzle H2O Stream

Both hoses connect to the Stream's outlet and deliver filtered water to where you need it.

6' Outlet Hose: It's best when you're close to the water source, such as filling bottles, jugs and other portable containers.

30' Outlet Hose: An upgrade to the standard kit. Its 30 feet of 3/8" PVC hose is made for filling vehicle tanks, so you can park a safe distance from the water's edge instead of pulling up to it.

Its portability and onboard pump makes it ideal for a range of uses and situations, including water emergencies. The Stream allows you to draw water out of a creek or lake, or connect to campground faucets. Eliminate anxiety about running out of water at the push of a button.

Battery operated and able to pump, filter, and purify up to 35 gallons on a single charge. Recharge in approximately 2 hours.

Stream FAQs

The only consumable is the carbon block cartridge. They're rated for 1000 gallons of city water or 6 months.

We have ours sourced in the US with the best formulation we know, which you can order here, or they're a standard size and available at major retailers.

It has a rechargeable Lithium battery. It takes about 2 hours to recharge.

They each take about 2 hours to recharge.

The Scout can be rinsed and reused. You should only need to replace the Scout if there is damage or rinsing no longer seems to work.

The same method can be applied to the Guide prefilter.

*You cannot rinse the carbon block cartridge for reuse.

We recommend keeping the Stream charged, or at least charging it every month or two. It can also stay plugged in. The charger automatically turns itself off.

To extend the life of your carbon block cartridge between uses, we recommend opening the housing and letting the carbon block cartridge completely dry out.
