I fell in love with the Guzzle, at first sight, it was a rare sunny day in Oregon and I was at a campervan expo getting ready to build my dream van. My dog Oliver immediately began drinking out of their display, and boy is he picky about water, so I knew I needed to have it. Water quality is a top priority on my list for my home, whether in the van or at my property because as a Functional Nutritionist I know how bad our water sources can be. Having the blue light built into the system allows me peace of mind whether I am off-grid for weeks at a time or pulling from a campground water source I never worry that I might get sick with my Guzzle. And the best part of all of this, is their customer service matches their great product. In the midst of a time crunch, weekend fix session on the van I reached out through their online customer service email and not only got an email back within an hour but one of the owners called me personally to help with the issue while he was on vacation. In the end, all the attempts we made to see if it was the electrical system or the unit blowing my fuse led to the UV unit taking a ride back to the factory to get fixed up. They received it, evaluated it, and fixed it the same day, sending it back on its way to me within 24 hours of receiving it. Outstanding! I am so glad I went with this company!
I installed this in my Winnebago Travato (class B RV) and am very happy with the results. I started with a "filtered water" faucet I found at home depot and attached it to my cold water feed. When this filter came in, I was able to easily cut the hose and push the connections into the fittings already on each end of this filter and it worked well with no leaks. I ended up having to disassemble the parts from the supplied black metal bracket in order to be able to fit it into the limited available space in my rig under the sink, but that was not difficult. This has been finally a solution that we very much needed for separate drinking water so we're not as concerned about variations in water quality as we travel. The only negative at all about this product is that the baggie with all the parts in it had split open on the bottom, apparently during shipping, but none of the parts were lost, just floating in the box.
I’m happy to see that I finally had time to install my Stealth unit in the van. It is hooked up to a 25 gallon fresh water tank and into the LP kitchen sink.
I’m ready for my first excursion this coming weekend. Installation was a breeze and the unit seems to work as advertised, looking forward to getting some clean purified water on this trip.
Also, I hooked up the unit so that the non-purified water is coming out of the cold side of the faucet and the purified water is coming out of the hot side of the faucet. That way I did not have to install a separate spigot in the countertop for the purified water.
I also plan to put a T connection on the water tank supply line so that I can close it off from the main tank and feed in jerrycan water through my water pump and the stealth unit and then have that purified water be filled back into the filler inlet of the main water tank.
That will allow me to take 5 gallon jugs from anywhere run it through the system and put it in my main tank. Then when I actually use the water I have the choice to have it filtered again if I want to before I use it.
Pretty cool!
This was a major addition to Turtleback Expedition trailer to cut down on wasted plastic water bottles
and ensure that no matter where we fill our water tanks we know we have clean pure drinking waters.
Now on the road we only carry reusable water bottles and stop buying large packs of water bottles
for drinking water.
I installed the Stealth in my Fleet Flatbed Four Wheel Camper. I used two three way valves, creating a system that can suction stream water through the existing pump, then send it through the filter and UV light and return it to the tank. With a small upgrade of the pump to a Shur Flow 50 psi version, I have great pressure and filtered water at the sink and shower. I really love this system and the customer service while I was setting it up was fantastic!
