Stealth 5

I ordered a Stealth 5 a couple months ago, and had it in hand about 5 days later. I opened the box and found the outlet fitting broken off. There wasn’t much packing in the box to prevent the unit from sliding around, making the outlet stalk vulnerable. Guzzle H2O responded the next day, and I had a new unit a couple days later. Installation took me a while. Guzzle supplied two sizes of barbed hose fittings, but my motor home has 1/2” pex. So, i waited a week to get Guzzle’s push-to-connect pex fittings. I installed the pex fittings and the plumbing, and the water flow meter leaked. Nothing I could do would stop the leaking. I contacted Guzzle, and two days later I had a replacement meter and fittings. Installation was straightforward, and it hasn’t leaked since.
The Stealth 5 is well-made. The outlet is on a stalk and plastic, making it vulnerable for breakage. But, the connections rotate, making them easy to work into your plumbing.
I’m pleased with my water. RVrs typically disinfect the freshwater holding tank. The tank will remain clean until you contaminate it the next time you fill it. The Stealth 5 should reduce your risk of drinking contaminated water.
SUGGESTIONS:1) Guzzle should pack these units in a way that will protect the outlet stalk. 2) They don’t include 12v operating range. The power I was able to tap into gave me 10.5v. I had to ask Guzzle about the usable voltage operating range. It would be helpful to include that information in the installation instructions and maybe in the sale brochure. 3) I’m on my third motor home. They have all had pex pipes. Maybe Guzzle could include a check box on the order form indicating the need for pex fittings. That sure would prevent some buyer frustration.
KUDOS TO PRODUCT SUPPORT!! I would not hesitate to buy from them again.
